Drink some cold juice and lay or sit in a quiet place. The baby should give 10 kicks in a 2-hour period. Call our office or on-call physician if there are less than 10 kicks in 2 hours.

What if I have an urgent medical issue?2020-10-13T19:35:37+00:00

If you have a medical emergency and need to be seen right away, call 911 or go to the emergency room. If you need to see the doctor but it is not an emergency, call our office at 386-438-5095 and we will schedule an appointment as soon as possible. We do our best to see you on that same day.

If you are experiencing one of these symptoms, please call us immediately:

  • Bleeding with or without cramping
  • Excessive vomiting- 3-4 times a day
  • Any fluid leaking from the vagina
  • Prolonged headache, vision changes, puffiness of hands or face
  • Not feeling baby kick at least 10 times in two hours
  • If contractions are 10 minutes apart, come to the office during regular hours. If the office is not open, go to the North Florida Regional Hospital Labor and Delivery unit.

You can see your medical records, appointments and notes about visits to your doctor on the Athena patient portal. We will give you information to set up your login page.

What if I am late for my appointment?2020-10-13T19:35:30+00:00

If you know you will be late, please call us and tell us when you will be here. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we might have to move your appointment to a later time on the same day or move to a different day.

To cancel or change your appointment: If you must cancel or change your appointment, call us 24 hours (1 day) in advance. We know that emergencies happen and are happy to work with you to find a new appointment.

We take cash, checks, credit cards and debit cards.

We take all kinds of insurance, Medicare and Medicaid. We also care for patients who do not have health insurance. Call us if you have questions about insurance or billing, 386-438-5095.

What do I need to bring with me to my appointment?2020-10-13T19:35:09+00:00

Bring your insurance card and driver’s license or ID card with your picture to each appointment. Please come 15 minutes before your appointment time to fill out forms, if needed. You can fill out our forms beforehand by clicking this link: Patient Forms
